While waiting for school to start, I wandered over to the school's community garden. The volunteer gardener and the kids dug some dirt out of the worm bin, spread it out inside a half barrel, and planted the seeds. The gardener told me that she opens up the greenhouse every Wednesday morning. She and the kids that show up tend to the garden until the first bell rings. It's amazing what can be done in a few minutes before school.
